Some people really hate bats, but I love them! Bat numbers are on the whole declining, probably due to a lack of roosting places, such as lofts. Modern building methods don't leave many of the nooks and crannies that bats need. You can do your bit by putting up a bat box. Bats normally occupy several sites - they have a winter roost, a summer roost, and a nursery roost. Winter roosts should face north, and summer roosts should face south. We stock several types - wooden ones and also the Schwegler Woodcrete boxes.
